Hakeem Bakare CMA, Ph.D
Hakeem joined SystemSpecs in 2003 as an AGM in our Corporate Strategy function, with his key deliverable being process improvement in the deployment of HumanManager and Quality Assurance. He is presently our Group Head; Corporate Strategy, he also heads the business unit responsible for the implementation & support of Nigeria’s leading e-payment solution – Remita. Given Remita‘s successful transformation of the Nigerian payment scene, Hakeem currently plays a vital role on the CBN Steering Committee on National Payment System: Vision 2020.
Before joining SystemSpecs, he spent eight years delivering Human Resources Management consulting services to more than a dozen businesses in the US and Canada including PeopleSoft Corporation, Kmart, MCI, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation (HHSC), Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and Northern Telephone Ltd, among others.
Hakeem has B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD in Economics specializing in “Economics with Computer Science”. He also has Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Information Technology from Information Technology Institute (ITI), Canada. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) of the Institute of Certified Management Accountant, USA.
